ARTISTIC DRAWING II

WEEK 2 ( FROM 23/03/20 TO 27/03/20 )

Hello dear students,

You have to do the following activities:

Art Work-project " WITH ONE LINE"

One of the most interesting elements in Pablo Picasso´s work are his continuous line drawing, in which he demostrates his great ability to give life to animals, people and objects.Without lifting the pencil from the paper , draw your self-portrait.
Materials : pencil, ink marker or ball-pen. Paper size Dina4Send me a photo of your drawing. Deadline 26/03/20

Art  Work- Project " THE HUMAN HEAD"

With this project we are going to analyze the proportion and structure of the human head to make a self-portrait or portrait.

Follow these points:

• Take a picture of yourself or another person ( choose one with a frontal view ).
• Use a transparent paper, and cover the photo with this paper. 
• Draw the main lines of the face,: the central axis, width of the face, line of the eyes, nose , mouth.
• Observe and compare the width of the nose with the eyes, also the width of the mouth with the nose, and so on.
• Now, with this previous activity, you have an approximate guide of its proportions to face the challenge of drawing a portrait or self-portrait.

Materials: paper size Dina4 and pencil.

Send me two photos, one with the drawing and the other with the process described above.

Hello dear students,

We are going to do  the following activities:

"HUMAN ALPHABET"

This week , we are going to start with de art-project  "HUMAN ALPHABET". As you know , I gave you a photocopy and we introduced a little bit the activity.

This activity consist of drawing silhouettes to create letters. "WRITE",using the body´. They will be drawn on 10x10 cm size watercolor paper. (each letter on separate paper)

Materials: watercolors  and pencil. ( In case you don´t have these materials, send me an email and we can look for other techniques and materials ...but don´t forget #yomequedoencasa).

Paper size : 10x10cm  for each letter.

SELF-PORTRAIT CALIGRAM

Draw a self-portrait using the concept of caligram. Think about yourself and create your drawing by means of using words as the lines of you work. Materials : canson Basik 130gr/m2 paper , pens for inking or technical ink marker. Size paper: A4. If you don´t  have it , please use a regular sheet of paper and remenber #yomequedoencasa. Deadline 6/04/20

In case you didn´t finish the cover for the school diary , now you have the opportunity to complete it!

In case you had given it to me in class, please  designe a new one to participate in the contest Rocio Barta. ( Due to the closing of the classes , I don´t Know if we can  access them ). If you have a photo of this drawing , please send it  to me and don´t design a new one! If you finally have to design two cover , I will consider for the final note! Thanks for your understanding!! Deadline 14/04/20.

In this project, you have to make a virtual journey through one of the cities you most desire to know...we are going to travel in this time of  quarantine in a virtual way!!! you have to select three photos of that city  you would love to visit or even live in it. From this photos (in wich there must be one point, two point and three point perspective), make a perspective drawing of your imagined city freely interlacing the space in perspective that you have previously  selected in the photographs. 

Materials : A4 and pencil.

This week , we are going to continue with the project "My imagined city". 
Related to this project , I want to show you the exceptional work  of different artists  who  work or have worked on the theme of cities and their architectures.

 We will start with the exceptional work of the Belgian illustrator F. Schuiten . His  imagined architectural drawing of real cities  like  Brüsel of Brussels  and Pâhry of Paris are a true work of art.
